Green Initiative Fund
MAEF is proud to announce a brand new fund - the Green Initiative Fund! Be part of the great green happenings in the Mahtomedi area. Your tax-deductible gift can help fund:
a wind turbine project benefiting Mahtomedi schools and community members
solar electric panels on school buildings
solar thermal hot water systems on school or city buildings
curriculum development, educational materials, and training that link these projects to K–12 classrooms and Century College
local energy efficiency and conservation projects
new bike racks around our community
Help continue the Mahtomedi area’s tradition of conservation leadership by designating a gift toward these efforts. Support MAGI’s green initiatives with an online tax-deductible contribution or call (651) 426-5052.
The Green Initiative Fund is a collaboration between the Mahtomedi Area Educational Foundation and the Mahtomedi Area Green Initiative (MAGI), a group of volunteers from our local school district, which includes Birchwood, Dellwood, Grant, Mahtomedi, Pine Springs, Willernie, and parts of Lake Elmo and White Bear Lake. In partnership with Mahtomedi area residents, schools, businesses, and government, MAGI works to:
reduce use of nonrenewable, carbon-emitting fuels
produce renewable energy, including wind and solar
encourage an enduring community commitment to sustainability
For more information about MAGI and the Zephyr Wind Project, call (651) 426-5052 or e-mail MAGI.
