Impact by the Numbers
Since 1988, the Mahtomedi Area Educational Foundation has invested more than $3 million in Mahtomedi Public Schools and its students.
Over the past year, your contributions have enabled us to support:
$2,220 for Student and Staff Recognition to celebrate student and staff events, including the Celebration of Excellence, Future Educators Breakfast, staff Welcome Back Breakfast, and a Teacher of the Year grant.
$7,500 for Student Enrichment to support student clubs and activities, including MAPS Team, Middle School Youth Night, DECA National Conference, and Mahtomedi High School’s Student Leadership Council (SLC) ABLE (Awareness, Balance, Learning, and Empathy) event during its annual Mental Wellness Week.
$21,300 for Basic Needs to help students and families in need both in and out of the classroom. Includes the Angel Fund, Care Closets, Daily Snacks for Students, St. Andrew’s Back to School Event, and Weekend Backpack Program.
$51,000 for Classroom Grants to provide teachers with new tools, technology, and techniques to enhance their teaching and inspire their students–directly impacting the classroom.
$49,000 for Post-Secondary Scholarships to assist 30 students in pursuing their education & and passions after graduation.
$98,000 for District Initiatives to support the district’s goal of enhancing digital arts and engineering pathways for students.
