Post-Secondary Scholarships

MAEF manages post-secondary scholarships for students attending Mahtomedi Public Schools. Scholarships are available because of generous donations from individuals and families. Scholarship donors recognize the importance of education and have chosen to actively participate in extending this opportunity.

The 2025 application window for post-secondary scholarships will open on December 20, 2024, and close at 11:59 pm on March 16, 2025.

** Please note the deadline for the MAEF Community and Technical scholarship is 11:59 pm on April 25, 2025.

GENERAL APPLICANT CRITERIA

  • Post-secondary scholarships are available to Mahtomedi Public Schools students in their junior and senior years.

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • An application is not complete until all supporting documentation has been submitted.

  • Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.

READY TO APPLY

The 2025 application window for post-secondary scholarships will open on December 20, 2024, and close at 11:59 pm on March 16, 2025.

  • Students need only complete the MAEF Scholarships Application for most scholarships.

  • The exceptions are:

    • Applicants ONLY applying to the MAEF Community and Technical Scholarship should fill out the Community and Technical Application form linked under the scholarship descriptions.

    • Returning American Legion Scholarship applicants (only college freshmen) ONLY fill out the American Legion Scholarship Application for Returning Students linked under the scholarship description.

Please note that other scholarships are available through the Mahtomedi High School Counseling Office - please visit Mahtomedi High School Counseling Center for additional information.

Award Process

All students selected as scholarship recipients will be notified by the Mahtomedi High School Counseling Office in early May.
